Below you’ll find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions at Mediterranean Taste Awards 2022. We are constantly adding most asked question to this page so if you have a question and don’t see your answer, don’t hesitate to email us at info@medtasteawards.com
  • You can choose to register the food & beverage products via our Online Registration System ORS  or using the following fillable application form.

  • You can add a product and/or category after you have made the registration until February 15, 2022, for the first edition of the competition (February 26-28, 2021) and until June 8, 2022, for the second edition of the competition June 15 – 17, 2022)

  • There is NO restriction on how many categories you can compete in. You can choose to compete in any of the following categories or in all of them with one or more of your brands: MTA Excellent Taste Awards, MTA Excellent Taste Organic Awards, MTA Innovation Awards, MTA Packaging & Design Awards, London Buyers choice Award, by MTA

      • Participants should be registered for the competition by February 15, 2022, for the first edition of the competition (February 26-28, 2021) and until June 8, 2022, for the second edition of the competition (June  15- 17, 2022)
      • Registrations will not be accepted after the deadline has been reached.
  • After the registration & the payment are completed, we will send the relevant documents, shipping details, and invoices.  

    Having first completed the registration and payment, then our team will provide the relevant documents and the Shipping Label Form.

    All the olive oil samples must be sent by February 20, 2022

    In case that the food & beverage products  sample has not been sent on time the product will be eligible for judging

  • For each competition category, you must submit two (2) samples of each product. The samples must be submitted on the exact same retail packagingPlease note that for the sensory analysis, the food & beverage samples are blind-tasted by the judges.

  • The participants must ensure that all the food & beverage samples will be send in safe and suitable packaging. In case of a damaged item, the participant must resend the samples strictly within the deadlines.

  • The first and second edition of the competition will be held simultaneously in London on February 26-28, 2022, and June 15-17, 2022 with the participation of chefs and food specialists from London and from parts of the world where we feel they fit with the Med Taste Awards concept.

    The London buyers Choice Award, by MTA Awards, will be held only in the second period of the competition and only in London on June 15 – 17, 2022

    Please note that in case of amendments on the scheduled dates of the competition they will be communicated to the participants directly via an email

  • What is the fee for registering for the competition? 

    The entry fees to the competition are the following:

    First Period | February 26 -28, 2022

    • Standard Price: € 100 (From September 1 to February 20, 2022) per brand per award category

    Note: For any additional product the cost is € 75  for any of the five (5) categories of the Awards.

    Second Period | June 15 -17, 2022

    • Price: € 100 (From February 21 to June 8h, 2022) per brand per award category

    Note: For any additional product the cost is € 75  for any of the five (5) categories of the Awards.

    Any amendments to the registration deadlines will be informed to clients via email.

      • Registering to the competition via the Online Registration System ORS form the payment must be made at the same time as filling the online application via a secure online payment system. 
      • Making the registration via the fillable application form, the payment must be made within five (5) working days after the submission of the application. If the payment has not been made in the set time limit the product will automatically be excluded from the judging list.
  • The results will be published on the medtasteawards.com and will also be shared to affiliate media partners.

      • The cost for the Mediterranean Taste Awards stickers is €29 per 1000 stickers and will be available for purchase on March 2022.  The stickers will have an effect for two (2) years and will be strictly for the product which has received the award. After the end of that period, the producer should re-apply and compete in Mediterranean  Taste Awards competition in order to maintain its status. The producers of the awarded brands can request and receive the stickers at any time during the two (2) years period.
      • For the winners who are interested to purchase our trophy and stickers, information for the order will be available on March 1, 2022.
